Thu, July 29, 2004 - 2:04 PMI've surmised that Froggy is pretty good at this game.
watch him get this one:
"Personally, I liked the university. They gave us money and facilities, we didn't have to produce anything! You've never been out of college! You don't know what it's like out there! I've *worked* in the private sector. They expect *results*."
and as always, no googling, people... -

Thu, July 29, 2004 - 10:34 PMGozer: Are you a god?
Ray: No.
Gozer: Then die.
Winston: Ray. When someone asks you if you're a god, you say yes.
and lets not forget:
Ray: Listen. You smell something? -

Re: trivial
Fri, July 30, 2004 - 10:15 AMi've always liked, "i'm right in the MIDDLE of something, ray!" complete with murray jump and akroyd head-slap.
"tell him about the twinkie."
"what about the twinkie?" -

Fri, July 30, 2004 - 10:27 AMWhat you have here is what we like to refer to as a focused-nonterminal-repeating phantasm. A real nasty one too! -

Re: trivial
Fri, July 30, 2004 - 1:07 PMinteresting sidenote
"You have been a participant in the biggest interdimensional cross rip since the Tunguska blast of 1909!"
Has anyone actually read up on this? Picture a 10-15 megaton explosion over Russia, one that leveled 60 million trees and shattered windows 400 miles away. Everything points to a meteorite but curiously, NO CRATER, and the trees in the dead center are standing upright. Crazy. Anyway, it was actually 1908.

Fri, July 30, 2004 - 10:55 PMEgon: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Peter: What?
Egon: Don't cross the streams.
Peter: Why?
Egon: It would be bad.
Peter: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean "bad"?
Egon: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Ray: Total protonic reversal.
Peter: That's bad. Okay. Alright, important safety tip, thanks Egon. -

Re: trivial
Fri, July 30, 2004 - 11:00 PMWhile where on the "Ghost Busters" movie, who was everyone’s favorite character from the film...
Mine is Peter Venkman, Bill Murray was at, IMO, his comedic best. -
-
Re: trivial
Fri, July 30, 2004 - 11:38 PMGhostBusters was bigger than just Bill though. It was a friggin phenomenon.
Groundhog Day is notable as being a truly funny romantic comedy, and I think that is owed almost singularly to Bill Murray's involvement.
Before Johnny Depp did Hunter S Thompson in Fear and Loathing, Bill Murray played him in the poorly-rated "Where the Buffalo Roam". The movie itself wasn't very good, but his performance was awesome. Peter Boyle did a great job as Carl Lazlo, too. -

Sat, July 31, 2004 - 3:58 AMI have heard of this "Where the Buffalo Roam" movie, but I have not seen it any were, would it be worth my trouble to look harder, is the MAN worth it, or is it a total loss? -

Re: trivial
Sat, July 31, 2004 - 9:46 AMdid you like fear and loathing in las vagas cuz its a bout the same guy. If you know some of your history regarding the late 60's and 70's and can get the refs in the film then i would say go for it cuz its really funny but if you think woodstock is a peanuts cartoon and watergate has somethingt o do with a cigar then dont bother:)

Re: trivial
Sat, July 31, 2004 - 3:27 PMIf you consider yourself a Bill Murray fan, it's definitely worth seeing at least once. Despite the crummy reviews, I remember actually liking it quite a bit.
greencine (of which I am a customer) and netflix both seem to have it available... and I think they both offer free trials, too.
